Refresh Baltimore; A Strong and Growing Community!

Last month some us had the opportunity to make it up to Baltimore to support the Refresh scene that is just beginning. It was a great presentation with a strong showing of supportive local talent. It was exciting and inspiring to see so much local talent come together and share their enthusiasm and passion for the industry. It reminded us much of the early days of Refresh-DC, small but strong. That is the true spirit of Refresh, local talent supporting local talent, sharing and learning from one another.

We are excited to hear that our own DC based web designer, Samantha Warren, will be making the trip up and speaking at the next Refresh Baltimore event on Tuesday, September 9th. We will be heading up to Baltimore again to support Samantha; we’ve also agreed to be this month’s sponsor. We don’t typically sponsor many events, but we wanted to show our support both to Samantha and to the growing efforts in Baltimore. We are strong supporters of community and the belief that it is the community that makes us better at what we do and how we do it.

So, for all of those in the Baltimore and DC metro area, we welcome (encourage) you to join us up at Refresh Baltimore on September 9th. Samantha will be speaking about typography and the web; a topic she is extremely passionate and knowledge about. As is our style, we’ve started getting the Refresh Baltimore group out after the event to a local bar to continue the ranting and raving; so come out to hear Samantha speak, meet some new people and enjoy a couple drinks afterward.

And a few hundred miles away, our own Michael Dick actually had the opportunity to speak this month at Refresh Oklahoma City. We hear the turn out was record breaking and his presentation was enjoyed by all (sorry we couldn’t make it Mike). Mike is taking our passion for community and our love of Refresh and helping continue, grow and support Refresh OKC. We’ll make it out there one day!
