Dan is an enthusiastic developer and UI aficionado, happily straddling the line between front-end and back-end. He got his first taste of programming with Logo on the Apple II in second grade, and has been at it ever since.
Much of his professional life has been spent with L3 Communications, where he went from designing posters and websites as a multimedia specialist to running a 6-million visitor-per-month web operation as technical director of Army.mil in less than 3 years.
He is passionate about the psychology behind good UI design, and gets abnormally excited about problem-solving and application flow. He has built content management systems from scratch in PHP, as well as numerous javascript plugins.
